Anthony Dimick, M.D.
Pediatrician
What made you decide to be a pediatrician?
"My father's influence as a physician and the fact that I like science probably led me to medicine. But the reason I decided to specialize in pediatrics is because it is such a positive experience. I have the opportunity to educate, I'm involved with the entire family over time
and most importantly, there's so much well-care and participation in growth and development of the kids-that's where it's all positive. I also find it fairly easy to make kids feel comfortable and just plain enjoy being with them. Since I don't have any children of my own, I can bring all the love to the office. I think being a doctor is a sacred obligation."
What brought you to the Lehigh Valley?
"I was born and raised here-Allen High School. I did work initially in California, but my family is the draw here. And it's the perfect medium size; not too big, not too small."
What's the most important advice you can give to moms and dads?
"Recognize and love your children for who they are, not who you want them to be."
Hobbies?
"Tennis, hiking, gardening-I guess the usual. I'm the average Joe that likes kids a lot."
